During the first Gulf War in the 80’s there was a media war-taking place against Saddam. The comments made were that Iraq accused the USA of misrepresentation. That our newspapers are lying. The USA stated the same, how could we believe Iraq when the State owns the press. Our newspaper during the Presidential elections quoted as truth lies about President Bush that nearly cost him the election. Dan Rathers
1. Propaganda (1 Pet 3:15)
· Newspapers in this country are liberal and report liberal points of view, courts and schools.
i. Tell Bush story on walking on water, NEW FLASH Bush can’t swim.
· All information given to man is one opinion or another given by self-made experts, Rosy, Alice.
i. We have Doctors, therapists, psychiatrists, preachers the list goes on.
ii. They stem from all kinds of beliefs from faith healing, positive thinking, the occult.
iii. Some deal with minor issues while other hit the heart of souls
1. LLEGO – The National Latina/o lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender organization
2. IGBO- International Gay Bowling organization
· Satanism – there is vast information regarding what you want to learn. At Ft Bliss, TX Ordered to have Satanic services.
2. Lead Astray - (Eph 4:14-18 )
· The world teaches us that Jesus is not important, don’t push your religion but be sympathetic to Muslims.
· It does not matter what you do for God, keep him personal, don’t speak about your faith.
i. Going to church on Easter and Christmas or not at all is reasonable
ii. Going to church 3 to 5 times a weak, that is not normal, occult beware.
iii. The way you live your life is your prerogative, legalize marijuana is right.
1. Homos, fornication, adultery, incest, theft, and hate, sin is OK.
2. Just do not preach in the schools or place the Ten Commandments in the courts.
3. The complete opposite from living sacrifice
· Don’t be like children (Tossed to and Fro) many views in the world but not correct
· He says it because the blindness of you hearts, this is why people error in the way the think.
· The worlds view is crafty; it makes sense sound good, like the mark of the beast. (Explain)
· I can find experts, leaders, advocates and various other eloquent minds will views that are ignorant
i. However, to many they are the next thing to God and are correct in everything they say.
3. Wisdom (2 Tim 2:15)
· God require believer to give answers to all men, too do this you must know much
· Be a student of the word of God and the philosophy of man, understand your enemy. Mt 4:1-11
· It is not a sin to read other books besides the Bible, Story of saint that walked away.
i. People think you nuts when answered without knowledge of the subject. (JW’s, Muslims Etc.)
ii. To be a student you must study and pick the bones, know what your speaking off.
God has given us all things to freely give back to the world - Matt 10:8, Rom 8:32 and Acts 4:32
· This is the message of God’s very best his own son, holy and pure.
· Your reasonable service is to bring your best to God.
· God gave to a brain us it and prepare yourself to be the Bible Answer Man.

Matthew 4:6

is the text of CBS News Anchor Dan Rather's statement on the documents
purportedly written by President Bush's National Guard commander:
Last week, amid increasing questions about the authenticity of documents used in
support of a
"60 Minutes Wednesday"
story about President Bush's time in the Texas Air National Guard,
CBS News
vowed to re-examine the documents in question-and their source-vigorously. And
we promised that we would let the American public know what this examination
turned up, whatever the outcome.
Now, after extensive additional interviews, I no longer have the confidence in
these documents that would allow us to continue vouching for them
journalistically. I find we have been misled on the key question of how our
source for the documents came into possession of these papers. That, combined
with some of the questions that have been raised in public and in the press,
leads me to a point where-if I knew then what I know now-I would not have gone
ahead with the story as it was aired, and I certainly would not have used the
documents in question.
But we did use the documents. We made a mistake in judgment, and for that I am
sorry. It was an error that was made, however, in good faith and in the spirit
of trying to carry on a CBS News tradition of investigative reporting without
fear or favoritism.
Please know that nothing is more important to us than people's trust in our
ability and our commitment to report fairly and truthfully.

Be Wary of Rich Cabinet Members?
On January 27, 1993, the Associated Press reported that nine of President Bill Clinton's cabinet appointees were millionaires. On January 23, 2001, the AP reported that President George W. Bush's nominees were "mostly millionaires." Dan Rather decided to follow the AP's lead in the Bush story, but not with the Clinton story. Rather never mentioned--throughout all eight years--that there were millionaires in Clinton's cabinets:

Promise-keeping vs. Flank-pleasing
One of President Bill Clinton's first acts in 1993 was to repeal the ban on federal funding for international groups that assist in abortions. One of President George W. Bush's first acts was to reinstate that ban. In so doing, Clinton kept a "promise" while Bush pleased "the right flank of his party":

Shame on the Rich (Some of Them)
During the late eighties and late nineties, the economy did well and many new millionaires and billionaires were created. The liberal Economic Policy Institute reported that there was a large gap between the rich and the poor in the eighties and that in the nineties the gap got even larger. During the eighties, Rather blamed the alleged disparity on the Republican president (Reagan) but did not mention it during the Clinton years.

getting this deficit down..."

the face of the world. How could you sign on to such a policy? And the question
is what does that tell us about your record?"

you want to dwell on them, and I want to talk about the values we believe in
and experience and the integrity that goes with all of this, and what's --
I'm going to do about education, and you're--there's nothing new here. I
thought this was a news program. What is new?"
RATHER: "Mr. Vice President, I appreciate you joining us tonight. I appreciate
this straightforward way in which you engaged in this exchange. Clearly, some
unanswered questions remain."

When Leaks are Okay
All reporters love leaks from knowledgeable sources. Dan Rather is no exception--but only as long as they don't harm Democrats.

Dan Rather #1:
The day before Al Gore's speech to the 2000 Democratic National Convention,
the Associated Press printed an anonymously sourced story which shifted media
attention from Gore back to one of the Clinton scandals.
Dan Rather immediately blamed the "Republican-backed" and suggested the whole affair was a Republican plot to sabotage Gore's big day. As it turned out, the leak's source was a Carter-appointed judge who had inadvertently revealed the information. Rather never apologized or issued a correction.
"Timing is everything. Al Gore must stand and deliver here tonight as the
Democratic Party's presidential nominee. And now Gore must do so against the
backdrop of a potentially damaging, carefully orchestrated story leak
about President Clinton. The story is that Republican-backed special
prosecutor Robert Ray, Ken Starr's successor, has a new grand jury looking into
possible criminal charges against the president growing out of Mr. Clinton's sex
life."

When to Identify a Judge's Appointer
Two federal courts issued rulings. One ruling was favorable to Oliver North and the other favorable to Bill Clinton. The judges who ruled favorably for Oliver North were quickly identified by Rather as Reagan appointees. Not so in the other case, where the judge was a Clinton appointee.

Who's Legitimate?
Many political groups have all-inclusive names. Two such are the Christian Coalition and the National Organization for Women. The CC's name sounds as if it is to represent all Christians, NOW's sounds as if it is to represent all women. Dan Rather calls the CC the, "quote, 'Christian Coalition'" because he does not think they speak for all Christians, but never says the, "quote, National Organization for Women."
